What is Ledger Live?

Ledger Live is the official app for managing your cryptocurrency on a Ledger hardware wallet. It allows you to:

How to Log in to Ledger Live

Ledger Live does not use a traditional username and password login because your crypto is stored on your hardware wallet, not on a server. Instead, access is controlled through your Ledger device. Here’s how:

  1. Download Ledger Live from the official website: https://www.ledger.com/ledger-live
  2. Install the app and open it.
  3. Connect your Ledger device (Nano S, Nano X, or Nano S Plus) to your computer or phone via USB or Bluetooth (Nano X).
  4. Enter your PIN code directly on the Ledger device.
  5. Ledger Live will detect your device and display your accounts and crypto balances.

Your crypto remains secure because all private keys stay on your Ledger device. Ledger Live only interacts with your wallet to show balances and authorize transactions.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • Recovery phrase: Your 24-word recovery phrase is the ultimate key. Never share it or enter it on your computer or phone.
  • Updates: Keep Ledger Live and your device firmware updated for security and new features.
