How to Login to Ledger Live
Ledger Live is the official desktop and mobile application that lets you manage your cryptocurrencies securely using a Ledger hardware wallet. Logging in doesn’t mean entering a password online; instead, it’s about connecting your Ledger device to the app safely.
Step 1: Download and Install Ledger Live
- Visit the official Ledger website: ledger.com/ledger-live.
- Download the version compatible with your device: Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, or Android.
- Install the application and follow the on-screen instructions.
⚠️ Only download Ledger Live from the official website to avoid phishing scams.
Step 2: Connect Your Ledger Device
- Plug your Ledger hardware wallet into your computer or mobile device using the USB cable (or Bluetooth for Ledger Nano X).
- Unlock your device by entering your PIN code.
Step 3: Open Ledger Live and Access Your Account
- Open Ledger Live and choose “Get Started.”
- Select “Initialize as new device” if your Ledger is new, or “Restore device from recovery phrase” if you’re recovering an existing wallet.
- Ledger Live will guide you to verify your recovery phrase on your device. This ensures that only you have access to your funds.
Step 4: Adding Accounts
Once your device is connected, you can:
- Add accounts for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other supported cryptocurrencies.
- Check your balances and transaction history.
- Receive, send, and exchange crypto securely.
Security Tips for Ledger Live Login
- Never share your 24-word recovery phrase with anyone. Ledger will never ask for it in the app or online.
- Always verify transactions on your physical Ledger device. This prevents malware from sending crypto without your approval.
- Keep Ledger Live updated to the latest version for the best security and features.
Troubleshooting Login Issues
- If Ledger Live does not recognize your device, make sure:
- Your USB cable is working properly.
- Your device firmware is up to date.
- Trezor Bridge (or any conflicting software) isn’t interfering (on
